What is a Gala Host?
Being a gala host is a way for you to further engage with your friends and family to support the FareStart's Gala Auction. Gala hosts serve as ambassadors to help spread the word about the event, invite their networks to participate, and host on the day of the live broadcasting. Register your mobile phone number and credit card when registering for the event here. It’s important to register early so that you are all set to bid when the silent auction opens on October 12. The live auction will take place during our live broadcast on YouTube on October 18 at 5:00 p.m.
To browse items and packages using the menu:
Click the “≡” icon to open the menu for Bids, Favorites, and Categories.
Use the magnifying glass “🔍” or scroll down to search for Packages.
Tap a Package to place a type of bid.
Choose “Bid” to place a single bid at the next increment level.
Choose “Bid More” to place the next maximum bid. The system will bid in your favor until you are outbid or the auction closes.
Choose “Buy Now” to purchase the package or item now!!

How To Stream the Live Broadcast?
You can stream the live broadcast directly on your smart phone or tablet by clicking the link that will be provided prior to the event.
If you’d rather cast the event to your TV…
If have a “Smart TV,” then navigate to your apps hub and launch the YouTube app. If you don’t have a “Smart TV” then navigate to your YouTube app via your Roku, Google Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV / Stick, Apple TV or other streaming hardware.
Then open the YouTube app on your mobile phone or tablet.
In the mobile app on your phone or tablet, tap your icon (top right corner from the YouTube app home screen) and then hit settings
Next, tap on "Watch on TV." If previously paired, your TV will start playing YouTube right away.
If not already paired, a numeric code will appear on your TV. Type it into the app to link your mobile device and then you can get started enjoying the event, and controlling the videos with your phone or tablet.
To use a computer to control YouTube on your TV instead of a mobile device, go to the website www.youtube.com/pair and then launch the YouTube app on the television per the instructions above. Then enter the code on the TV into the box on the computer that says "Enter TV code" and you're all set.
Once you've done all this, you can watch any YouTube or YouTube TV video, and control every setting with your remote, mobile device, or computer.
Now go to link provided by FareStart in your pre-vent email and start streaming. The pre-show will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the live broadcast starting at 5:00 p.m.
